​McCook Police Department

The McCook Police Department was incorporated along with the Village of McCook in 1926.  The Village of McCook was named for John J. McCook, a late 19th-century director of the Santa Fe Railroad and a former Civil War officer.   Through the years the McCook Police Department has grown to a force of 15 full-time officers.

The vision of the McCook Police Department is to work with the community to create a safe environment for all.  By maintaining a partnership with the community and business partners, we can work together to keep the community safe from harm. ​
