Toys for Tots - 2025

For many years, the McCook Fire Department has proudly supported the Toys for Tots program, demonstrating a strong and consistent commitment to serving children and families in need during the holiday season. This tradition of generosity continued again this year, reinforcing the department’s dedication to giving back to the community beyond emergency services.

Throughout the holiday collection period, members of the McCook Fire Department worked alongside residents, local businesses, and visitors to gather donations of new, unwrapped toys. Collection boxes were placed at the village and other designated locations, making it easy for the community to participate in the effort.

This year’s campaign was especially successful, with more than 75 boxes filled with toys collected for the Chicagoland Toys for Tots program. The overwhelming response highlights the generosity of the McCook community and the strong partnerships built over the years between the fire department and local supporters.

And this year we would like to acknowledge a particular business, Fontanini, who has contributed tremendously to this event, year after year. Their support has been unwavering and is greatly appreciated!

The donated toys will be distributed to children across the Chicagoland area, helping to bring joy and hope to families during the holiday season. The McCook Fire Department extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed, reaffirming that these efforts are only possible through community involvement and shared compassion.
