A Tradition of Generosity
For many years, the McCook Fire Department has proudly supported the Toys for Tots program, demonstrating a strong and consistent commitment to serving children and families in need during the holiday season. This tradition of generosity continued again this year, reinforcing the department's dedication to giving back to the community beyond emergency services.
Throughout the holiday collection period, members of the McCook Fire Department worked alongside residents, local businesses, and visitors to gather donations of new, unwrapped toys. Collection boxes were placed at the village and other designated locations, making it easy for the community to participate in the effort.
Each year our campaigns are especially successful, averaging more than 75 boxes filled with toys collected for the Chicagoland Toys for Tots program. The overwhelming response highlights the generosity of the McCook community and the strong partnerships built over the years between the fire department and local supporters.
